Sen.

Of course, that speaks of how many the old Revilla’s descendants are. Pero higit dito, ganoon ka-well-loved ang dating mambabatas whose legacy he has passed on to his children. No wonder, ang anak niyang si Senator Bong Revilla down to his daughter Andrea “Andeng” Bautista-Ynares have inherited their father’s endearing genes.

Isa ako sa napakaraming natutuwa sa lalong papagandang kalagayan ni Mang Ramon na tinanggalan na ng tubo sa kanyang leeg upang makapagsalita. Gone is the alphabet chart as his means of communication, also gone is the collective sorrow that has engulfed the Revilla clan for several months now.

Ito’y pruweba lang na sadyang makapangyarihan ang mga panalangin loud enough to be heard, intense enough to be answered.

Each day, sa aminin man natin o hindi, the economic face is getting uglier and uglier: posibleng pumalo ng P600 ang LPG tank, tataas ngayong Pebrero ang singil sa tubig, baka madagdagan pa ang mga kumpanyang magsasara, nagtaas na rin ang presyo ng commercial rice, the list goes on and on.

Tayong mga Pinoy, we can only hope for the best, but the best is yet to come. Tuloy, mas naa-appreciate ko ang isinusulong ni Senator Mar Roxas in his tireless bid na mas palawakin pa ng ating pamahalaan ang murang gamot given these headache-causing problems that we face each day.

Now a middle-aged person myself, surely, we become prone to ailments na mangangailangan ng gamutan na hangga’t maaari ay mura sa panahon ng krisis. Pero paano na ang socially marginalized, those who cannot afford to buy their necessary medications?

Sen. Mar, who’s none of these: a) doctor; b) pharmacist and c) social worker, understands the plight of every Pinoy. After all, maintaining good health need not be expensive, if not branded!

Sa puntong ito, marami ang saludo kay Sen. Mar as he has charmed his way through a larger chunk of the citizentry pie with his Botika ng Bayan.

By the way, sa mga natatawa na lang sa anila’y suntok sa buwang mithiin ni Sen. Mar, isn’t laughter the best (generic) medicine to cure them?
