MANILA, Philippines — Binubusisi ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang natanggap na ulat na may ilang paaralan at school personnel ang nagka-COVID mula nang simulan muli ang pagpapatupad ng face-to-face classes sa bansa.

Ayon kay DepEd Spokesperson Michael Poa, patuloy nilang inaalam ang report dahil wala pa silang ulat kung ilan ang nagkaroon ng virus sa paaralan.

“Talaga pong meron na tayong natatanggap na mga reports ng COVID cases or cases kung saan nagpo-positive ang ating learners, ang ating teachers, or non-teaching staff. However, as to the exact figure, we cannot give you an accurate figure just yet kasi po we need to verify the info with doon naman sa tracking na ginagawa ng LGUs and perhaps verify the data also with DOH,” sabi ni Poa.

Tiniyak naman ni Poa sa publiko na patuloy nilang susubaybayan ang mga kundisyon ng mga paaralan at ipag-uutos ang pagpapatupad ng infection containment strategies upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng virus.

Sa ngayon, mayroong 90 percent ng 47,000 public schools nationwide ang nagpapatupad ng blended learning na may kumbinasyon ng in-person classes at distance learning tulad ng modules at online classes.
