5 top CPP-NPA officials arestado!
MANILA, Philippines — Inaresto ng pinagsanib na elemento ng militar at pulisya ang limang matataas na opisyal ng Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) sa isinagawang operasyon sa Sta. Cruz, Laguna nitong Lunes ng hapon.
Kinilala ang mga nasakote na sina Adelberto Silva, chief ng National Organization Division ng CPP-NPA; Edicel Legazpi, gumagamit ng mga alyas JDF, Kobe na nagsisilbing trike secretary ng Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee;. Ernesto Lorenzo alyas Adlai, deputy secretary ng STRPC; Ernesto Lorenzo, 1st deputy secretary ng STRPC, NOD staff ni Silva; alyas Batu, dating deputy secretary ng organisasyon at alyas Wena, secretary ng National Women’s Bureau (NWB).
Si Silva ay consultant ng National Democratic Front na napalaya noong nakalipas na taon sa ilalim ng Joint Agreement on Immunity and Safety Guarantees (JASIG) kaugnay ng peace talks sa pagitan ng pamahalaan at ng CPP-NPA.
Magugunita na matapos na bumagsak ang peace talks noong Nobyembre 2017 ay ipinag-utos ni Pangulong Duterte ang pag-aresto sa mahigit 30 lider ng komunistang grupo kabilang dito ang 20 National Democratic Front (NDF) consultants.
“The Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police are exploring all available avenues for better coordination and cooperation under the framework of the Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Committee (JPSCC) in our operations on internal security, anti-criminality, and counter-terrorism,” pahayag ni PNP Chief P/Director Gen. Oscar Albayalde.
“This excellent collaboration has recently resulted to the arrest of five (5) high-ranking communist-terrorists. We expect this collaboration to bear much fruit as we address other security challenges in the future,” ayon pa sa PNP Chief.
Patuloy naman ang pagtugis sa iba pang mga lider ng CPP-NDF-NPA na may standing warrant of arrest.
Samantala, dalawang lider ng Maute-Islamic State of Iraq and Syria ang nasakote, pero tumanggi muna si AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Carlito Galvez Jr. na tukuyin ang pagkakakilanlan ng mga ito habang patuloy pa ang dragnet operation sa kasamahan ng mga ito.
