MANILA, Philippines - Umabot na sa 92 opisyal at empleyado ng gobyerno ang sinipa ni Pangulong Duterte sa kanilang posisyon dahil sa isyu ng korapsiyon.
Sa talumpati ng Pangulo sa groundbreaking ceremony ng isang drug treatment and rehabilitation center sa Malaybalay, Bukidnon, muling binanggit ng Pangulo ang pangako niya na wawakasan ang korapsiyon.
“Ako I said, I will promise you I will stop corruption and my God, you must stop corruption,” anang Pangulo.
Bagaman at hindi pinangalanan, ibinigay pang halimbawa ng Pangulo ang isang tao niya mula pa noong 1988 na sinibak rin niya sa puwesto dahil sa kampanya sa laban sa katiwalian.
“Either you be ready to go out just like a guy who was with me since 1988. He was a part of my team but when we were already in the government, and I heard that he was suggesting this and that and I said, ‘you have to go.’ The first week of corruption, it’s finished,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Sa kabuuan aniya ay umabot na sa 98 ang kanyang tinanggal ngayon pa lamang buwan ng Marso kung saan karamihan ay mula sa Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Internal Revenue, at Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.
“So I have fired 92, I have fired so many Customs officials, BIR, the Revenue people and the regulatory boards of (LTFRB), the one giving the franchises for public utilities, 92 all of them this month alone, March. I said go. And I said better not, do not f** the government with its money. Cause if you do, we cannot understand each other,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
