Mayweather Sr. minaliit ang panalo ni Pacquaio vs Rios

MANILA, Philippines – Matapos kubrahin ng Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao ang WBO international welterweight nitong nakaraang Linggo, hindi ito naging sapat kay Floyd Mayweather Sr. upang makumbinsing ilaban ang kanyang anak.

Sinabi ni Mayweather na hindi pa handa ang eight-division champion na labanan ang reigning pound-for-pound king at wala pang talong si Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“He (Pacquiao) ain’t ready for that (Floyd fight) yet. Manny ain’t ready for that. He's not ready,” pahayag ng nakakatandang Mayweather kay Ben Thompson ng Fighthype.com.

“He wasn't ready when he was doing it. When he was doing his thing, he wasn't ready,” dagdag niya.

Minaliit ni Mayweather Sr. ang pagbangon ni Pacquiao sa dalawang magkasunod na talo nang bugbugin ang Mexican-American na si Brandon Rios sa unanimous decision.

“I don't call that redeeming himself. I'm just saying, I don't think that's going to redeem just to fight somebody like Floyd,” paliwanag niya.

Sinabi ni Mayweather Sr. na sasapitin lamang ni Pacquiao ang naranasan ni Rios kapag nagharap sila ng kanyang anak.

“Now with what I just seen the other day, Floyd would do him the same way he did Rios. It wouldn’t be no difference,” banggit niya. “That's not a challenge. I'm being honest with you. I don't see that as being a challenge.”

Pagkatapos ng laban ni Pacquiao ay sinabi ng kanyang promoter Bob Arum ng Top Rank na may laban siya sa Abril 2014 ngunit hindi pa sigurado kung sino ang kakalabanin.
