Pelikula nina Jasmine at Tom hindi pa nakakabawi
Nalungkot si Jasmine Curtis-Smith dahil sa hindi pagpayag ng ilang sinehan na magkaroon ng block screening ang pelikula nila ni Tom Rodriguez na Maledicto.
Sa kanyang Instagram account, naglabas ng kanyang saloobin si Jasmine dahil sa pagtanggi ng mall theater na ito na magpalabas o magpa-block screening ng Tagalog film.
Napag-alaman na tuwing Metro Manila Film Festival lang daw nagpapalabas ng Tagalog film ang naturang sinehan.
“Two malls in Taguig declined our block screenings because apparently they don’t screen local films anymore.” caption ni Jasmine.
Heto ang pinost na message ni Jasmine sa IG:
“The first two malls replied back saying that they DON’T screen local films anymore unless it’s the MMFF. I just wanted to let you know that this is the state of support we receive from our cinema houses. We totally understand the difficulty of going up against an international franchise but it frazzles me that they choose NOT to screen local films anymore?!? Ang hirap magkaroon ng chance.”
Kumita lang nga ng P1 million on opening day noong May 1 ang Maledicto. Kasabay pa rin kasi nito ang mga sinehan na palabas ang Avengers: Endgame na pinipilahan ng maraming tao. Ang kabuuan na production cost ng horror film na ito ng FOX ay umabot sa P10 million.

Ang nag-officiate ng kasal nila Joe at Sophie ay isang Elvis Presley impersonator.
Na-engaged sina Joe at Sophie noong October 2017 at nagdesisyon silang magpakasal sa Las Vegas sa gabi ng 2019 Billboard Music Awards kunsaan nag-perform ang Jonas Brothers. Pagkatapos ng awards night, tumuloy ang ilang guest sa wedding ng dalawa.
Si DJ Diplo ang nag-post sa kanyang Instagram Story ng wedding videos nila Sophie at Joe. In the clips, 29-year old Joe is seen waiting at the altar before 23-year old Sophie enters and walks down the aisle.
Maraming nag-akala na sa France magpapakasal ang dalawa, pero mukhang dun na magaganap ang second wedding nila.
In one clip, Sophie repeats the words: ‘I thee wed.... and I love you... and I thank God He gave me you.’
Then the couple, at Elvis’s direction, repeated to each other in unison: ‘I promise you, I will never leave you. I will love and trust you all the days of my life.’
