Pero nag-sorry sa mga na-offend Toni humiling ng world peace at tapusin na ang isyu sa Binibini
Nagbigay na ng kanyang official reaction si Toni Gonzaga hinggil sa kontrobersyal na hosting stint niya sa Bb. Pilipinas coronation night held last Sunday kung saan nga ay katakut-takot na papuri at batikos ang kanyang natanggap.
Sa presscon para sa unang pagsasama nila sa pelikula ni Coco Martin na You’re My Boss, bago nagsimula ang open forum ay minabuti ni Toni na magbigay muna ng kanyang pahayag para matuldukan na ang issue.
“First of all, in respect to Coco, to our director, to our writer na nandito po sa panel and of course to Star Cinema, this will be the first and the last time that I will talk about this, kasi nun’g Sunday pa po ‘to and we have all moved on from it, tapos na po ‘yung coronation night, we have already declared the winners, so there’s no point in looking back and talking about it over and over again,” simula ni Toni.
“Siguro, ang sa akin lang po, first of all, I want to say thank you very much to the committee of Bb. Pilipinas for giving me the opportunity to host as such a wonderful event, kasi first time kong ma-experience ‘yung ganu’n kasayang crowd, ganu’n ka-wild na audience and it was definitely a memorable experience for me.
“To those who are not pleased and to those na siyempre, nagkaroon po ng parang national debate kung nagustuhan ba nila or hindi nila nagustuhan ang napanood nila, siyempre po, doon po muna sa hindi natuwa and hindi naibigan ang napanood nila nun’g Sunday, I humbly asking for apology kung I have offended or I have maligned or I have hurt anyone of you, but it was never my intention because prior to the show, I was instructed to make the show fun, light, and ease the tension especially during the Q&A (question and answer) portion.
“So it was never my intention. Again, it was instructed to me to host that way, to make it lively and fun. Of course, in the spirit of the celebration ng Bb. Pilipinas coronation night.
“And ‘yun po. ‘Yun po siguro ang stand ko do’n.
“And to everybody, siyempre, I don’t want naman po to miss this opportunity to thank everyone, ‘yung mga friends ko from the press, my friends in the industry who have been saying a lot of (good things), who have been defending me at nagsasalita po ng mga good and kind words sa akin, maraming-maraming salamat po.
“I really and truly appreciate that from the bottom of my heart and also I would like to thank the Bb. Pilipinas committee for commending the job I did last Sunday, maganda po ‘yung mga sinabi nila sa akin.
“Actually, even the special events, they texted me very nice and encouraging words and I’m very thankful for that,” ang pahayag ni Toni.
“’Yun po. And in the spirit na rin po of beauty pageants, let’s end this issue with world peace,” pagbibiro pa ng TV host/actress.
Toni ipinagdadamot pa ang mga detalye sa kasal
Sa naturang presscon pa rin, pinakumpirma rin kay Toni kung totoo bang sa June 12 na ang kasal nila ni Direk Paul Soriano pero ayaw munang magbigay ng detalye ng TV host/actress.
“Regarding po sa wedding, siyempre, right now, again, in respect to the promotion of the movie and Coco and Direk Tonette (Antoinette Jadaone), there will be a proper time for me to announce the exact date kung kailan talaga ako magpapakasal, but right now, I really cannot divulge the details, any details in respect nga po talaga do’n sa movie we are doing para hindi na siya makahati pa ng atensyon.
“But definitely, right after na mag-showing ang movie, I can share some details. But right now talaga, pasensiya na po, ngayon lang talaga. Pagkatapos talaga ng showing, masasagot ko na po.”
After the marriage, siyempre ay patuloy pa rin siya sa pag-aartista at naka-line-up na nga raw sa kanya after the movie ay ang Pinoy Big Brother.
“Pagkatapos po nito, naghahanda na kami para sa 10th anniversary ng Pinoy Big Brother. Malaki rin po ‘yun, so pinaghahandaan.”
Pero ang latest news na nasagap namin, tila iibahin na raw ang wedding date at baka hindi na June 12 at baka raw gawing June 8 na. Pero hindi pa naman ito kumpirmado kaya abangan na lang natin ang official announcement ni Toni.
