MANILA, Philippines – Heads will roll!
Asahan na ang pagsibak sa maraming mga opisyal ng Philippine National Police (PNP) kaugnay ng kontrobersyal na kaso ng pagdukot at pagpatay sa South Korean trader na si Jee Ick-joo sa mismong bakuran ng PNP Headquarters sa Camp Crame.
Ito ang tiniyak kahapon ni Interior and Local Government Secretary Ismael Sueno na nakiramay sa nagluluksang pamilya ni Ick -joo.
Ang babala ay ginawa ni Sueno matapos na lumitaw sa inisyal na imbestigasyon na mga rogue o scalawags na opisyal ng PNP ang sangkot sa karumaldumal na krimen.
“To the wife and family of Mr. Jee, my sincerest condolences over the death of your husband. Rest assured that those that were identified and will be pinpointed as the culprits during the course of the investigation which also involve SPO3 Ricky Sta. Isabel and his alleged cohorts will be dealt with accordingly,” ani Sueno na tiniyak na mananagot ang lahat ng mga opisyal at tauhan ng pulisya na sangkot sa pagdukot at pagpatay kay Ick-joo.
Nitong Huwebes ay nagpahayag ng pagkadismaya si PNP Chief P/Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa na umaming halos matunaw siya sa kahihiyan sa pagkakabulgar na mismong mga pulis ng PNP-Anti Drug Group ang sangkot sa pagdukot at pamamaslang sa negosyante sa mismong bakuran ng Camp Crame.
“I have personally asked the Chief PNP to continue to monitor the case, as well as to accelerate the investigation and ensure that all police scalawags involved in the incident particularly SPO3 Ricky Sta. Isabel be meted with appropriate sanctions in accordance with the rule of law. The speedy resolution of Mr. Jee’s case is the best justice that this country can give to his family and to the South Koreans right now,” ani Sueno.
Samantalang tiniyak rin ng opisyal na handa silang humarap sa anumang imbestigasyon na ipatatawag ng Kongreso sa kasong ito.
Magugunita na ang biktima ay dinukot sa pekeng anti-drug operation ng grupo ni Sta Isabel sa tahanan nito sa Angeles City, Pampanga noong Oktubre 18, 2016 ng nakalipas na taon at nabulgar lamang nitong Enero 11, 2017 matapos na dumulog na sa mga kinauukulang ahensya ng pamahalaan ang misis ng biktima.
