POC tinapik si Gov. Remulla bilang CDM sa Paris Olympics

MANILA, Philippines — Nakahanap na ng kapalit ang Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) kay Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) president Al Panlilio bilang Team Philippines Chef de Mission (CDM) para sa 2024 Paris Olympics.

Hinirang ni POC president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino si Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla bilang CDM sa nasabing quadrennial event.

“We understand Al’s (Panlilio) situation so we decided to appoint a new CDM for the Paris Olympics, somebody who has a great passion for sports, a true sportsman, somebody who has leadership, a workhorse and that’s Governor Jonvic (Remulla),” ani Tolentino

“The POC wanted a dedicated sportsman or personality who could live up to the responsibilities and obligations as CDM to Paris,” wika ni Tolentino.

Isa ring non-national sports association head ang hinirang na CDM sa katauhan ni First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo noong 2005 Southeast Asian Games sa Manila.

“He accepted the position without hesitation and he’s really happy and excited about his role as Paris Olympics CDM,” sabi ni Tolentino kay Remulla.

Pinili rin ng POC sina wrestling association chief Alvin  Aguilar bilang CDM sa World Combat Games at rugby federation head Ada Milby sa 2024 Winter Olympic Youth Games.
