Tito Sen, huli na sa pulitika

Aminin na natin, Salve A., na lubhang nakakataba ng puso, when you attend a presscon, virtual or whatever kind, you are addressed by the host, or more so, by the honoree himself/herself with your first name.

No wonder, very intimate ang katatapos na presscon ni Senate President Tito Sotto, where he met members of the entertainment press and announced officially na tatakbo siya bilang Vice President sa darating na elections.

He will be the running mate of Senator Panfilo Lacson, na pagiging President naman ang puntirya.

Now 73 years old, baka ito na raw ang huli niyang pagsabak sa pulitika.

Kaya nga raw if he wins – and it’s likely he will, conclude the media present– he will truly do his best na maging deserving of the “job” entrusted to him by the Filipino people.

Funny, he said, na kahit both sides ng kanyang family, the Sottos on his father’s side, and the Castelo, sa side ng kanyang ina, hindi originally ambisyon niya na pumasok sa pulitika.

We all know, he first made a name sa entertainment world. Naging member siya of the popular trio TVJ (T for Tito, V for Vic, his younger brother, and J for Joey de Leon).

Then naging Quezon City Vice Mayor siya. At maraming bills siyang naipasa, na naging kapaki-pakinabang sa kanyang constituents.

Well, hanggang ngayon. At hindi lang sa mga taga-Quezon City. Tito Sen and his wife, former popular dance and singer cum actress Helen Gamboa have been married for more than 50 years. Apat ang kanilang anak. Their only boy Gian is the seating Vice Mayor ng Quezon City.

Rico, natulungan ni Maris

Inspiring and helpful to the max daw, ayon sa 48-year-old rock icon na si Rico Blanco sa kanya ang kanyang 23-year-old girlfriend na si Maris Racal, who is also a singer and music writer, too.

Formerly a Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate, Maris, naturally, was the first person na ipinarinig ni Rico ang bagong likha niyang theme song for the reality show. Which, by the way, will again open, kumbaga, its “gates” sa mga nag-aambisyong maging part ng reality show.

Bong Revilla, who is turning 55 on his birthday, Sept. 25. At sa kanyang kaarawan, mamumudmod daw muli si Senator Bong ng gadgets, such as laptops, cellphones and iPads. Plus livelihood packages, pati na cash prizes.

To join, submit your entry to Senator Bong’s social media accounts.

Or, better still, refer to his official YouTube Channel. Wala raw uuwing ‘luhaan,’ whatever they mean by that, tukoy ng mga sumusuporta sa magandang adhikain na ito ni Senator Bong.

Watch nga pala ang dalawang projects na gagawin ng actor-senator before the year ends.

Closely helping Senator Bong sa, kumbaga, kahanga-hangang advocacy niyang ito is wife Lani Mercado, concurrently mayor ng Bacoor City.

Senator Bong and Mayor Lani have been married since 1986.

Anak nila si Jolo Revilla, currently vice governor ng Cavite Province. Next year daw, sa election 2022, Vice Gov. Jolo will run for the Congressional seat of the 1st district of Cavite.
