Jodi magtatayo ng clinic para sa mga may mental health problem

Malaki ang pag-asang ga-graduate with honor si Jodi Sta. Maria when she completes her B.S. Psychology course sa Southville University in Parañaque City, next year. But obviously, wala munang balak si Jodi na ipagpatuloy ang pagkuha ng medisina, as she originally planned once she finishes her Psychology studies.

Instead, balak niya raw to put a clinic and help patients na may mental health problem.

Already, if you don’t know, isa nang professional itong si Jodi.

“And she is good,” ani Gretchen Fullido, TV entertainment reporter ng TV Patrol, at best friend ni Jodi. “Nagpa-acupuncture na ako sa kanya and I was relieved of the pain na iniinda ko.”

Showbiz, though, will still remain Jodi’s priority, she said. Lalo pa ngayon na in both of her current projects, the still showing movie, Clarita, and the trending series, Sino Ang May Sala, Mea Culpa, ang ganda ng reviews sa kanyang performances.

As Jodi said: “I want to take advantage of every opportunity that comes my way. We will never know what is in store for us next time.

“Kaya, lets take advantage of every good gift we get from God everytime.

“Lalong we should not forget to thank Him. Yes, for His blessings,” susog pa ni Jodi.

Nonetheless, its not all work and no play for Jodi, she is quick to add. Each time she is free from her commitments, she makes it a point to travel with her son, Thirdy.

Mother and son were in Taipei recently.

Samantala, as an actress, Jodi according to Ricky Davao, with whom he co-stars with in Clarita, Ricky says she cannot say enough of her.

“She is performer na masasabi ng truly devoted to her craft,” ani Ricky. “Dito sa Clarita, parehong mahirap ang  aming role, lalo na. She plays one na supposedly  possessed ng evil spirit. And I’m the priest, na expert sa exorcism, assigned to exorcise her.

“We both make sure na alam namin ang gagawin namin sa harap ng camera, before our director (Derick Cabrido) calls for us a take,” dugtong pa ni Ricky.

“Equally good,” patuloy pa ni Ricky, ang kanilang mga co-stars na sina Aaron Villaflor at Romnick Sarmenta. Pati na ang baguhan na si Alyssa Muhlach.

Would Ricky say na terrifying movie talaga ang Clarita? Ricky was asked.

Ang kanyang sagot: “Well panoorin n’yo, para malaman niyo why it’s now reportedly being exhibited in 190 theaters nationwide.”

Dingdong nagpapapayat para sa marathon sa Germany

Halatang nag-lost ng weight si Dingdong Dantes, when he attended the 3rd Eddys, of course Nominations Night last Saturday.

Eddys of course is short for Entertainment Editors, which is how the Society of the Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEED), headed by People’s Tonight Entertainment Editor, Ian Fariñas, refer to the trophies they will award for the best of the ‘best’ na performers in any category this year.

Dingdong of course, nominated for best actor for his performance in the movie, Sid and Aya, which co-starred him with Anne Curtis.

Of his having lost weight, he did it purposely, according to Dingdong, as he plans to join daw Berlin Marathon in Germany later this year.

Right now, we all know that Dingdong has a new show, the Kapuso’s new search for talents via the Starstruck. He has for his co-host Jennylyn Mercado, na winner ng first Starstruck 15 years ago.

Starstruck Council of Judges include Cherie Gil, Jose Manalo and Heart Evangelista.

Empoy sunud-sunod ang suwerte

Grateful to the max daw si Empoy kay Coco Martin for getting him as a member of the cast of the long-running series, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

To top it all, he is assigned to play the sidekick of Cardo, which of course, is portrayed by Coco.

Luck appears to be on his side, according to Empoy, as he has been assigned a new movie too by Spring Films which will reunite him with his blockbuster movie, Kita Kita, co-star Alessandra de Rossi.

And if you still don’t know it yet, he has a new endorsement for a food chain at nagkataong paborito pa raw niya ang pagkaing ini-endorse niya.
