NU tatapusin ang UST sa Game 2

MANILA, Philippines — Inaasahang ibubuhos ng National University ang lahat ng lakas nito upang tuluyang tapusin ang University of Santo Tomas sa Game Two ng UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball finals sa Miyerkules.

Ayaw ni Lady Bulldogs outside hitter Bella Belen na umabot pa sa Game Three ang best-of-three title series.

Kaya naman desidido itong umarangkada nang husto para maulit ang kanilang matamis na sweep sa Golden Tigresses sa Game One ng serye noong Sabado sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Naitarak ng Lady Bulldogs ang 25-23, 25-20, 25-20 panalo para makuha ang 1-0 bentahe sa serye.

“We’re very happy because we were able to translate what we’ve trained to the game. We can’t be complacent in Game Two. We should keep in mind that UST is a tough fighting team and giving them one more chance is dangerous,” wika ni Belen.

Kailangan ng kanilang tropa na kumayod nang husto para mapataob ang UST.

“We need to posses a mindset that we need to finish them off in Game Two and that we shouldn’t let the series reach a do-or-die game for both teams,” ani Belen.

Nagtala si Belen ng 13 points bukod sa walong digs at anim na receptions sa series opener.

Makakasama ni Belen sa ratsada sina opposite spiker Alyssa Solomon at outside hitter Vangie Alinsug.

Nariyan pa sina middle blockers Sheena Toring at Erin Pangilinan at playmaker Camilla Lamina.
