Lalo na sa non-professional leagues

MANILA, Philippines — Hanggang walang vaccine, hindi pa rin pahihintulutan ang mga non-professional leagues at sporting events.

Ito ang desisyon ng pinag­samang puwersa ng Games and Amusements Board (GAB), Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) at Department of Health (DOH).

Sa inilabas na circular ng GAB-PSC-DOH, nais ng grupo na masigurong ligtas ang lahat ng mga atleta, coaches at officials partikular na ang mga nasa collegiate level.

“Considering that an effective vaccine for Covid-19 has not yet been made available, it follows that the implementation of this Joint Administrative Order shall remain in effect, until and unless amended or revoked,” ayon sa statement.

Mas naging mahigpit ang pagpapatupad ng health protocols sa bansa matapos matuklasan ang mas matinding strain ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19) na mas mabilis na kumakalat.

Pahihintulutan pa rin ang pagdaraos ng torneo ng mga professional leagues sa ilalim ng ma­tinding guidelines na ipinatutupad ng Inter-Agency Task Force gayundin ng local government unit na nakakasakop dito.

Ilan sa mga nakatakdang simulan ay ang PBA Season 46 na puntiryang umpisahan sa Abril.

Ilan pa sa magtatangkang magdaos ng torneo ay ang Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup at Philippine Superliga beach volleyball challenge na parehong target nga­yong buwan.
