Callanta, Gajo hinirang na outstanding swimmers sa PSL national series

MANILA, Philippines — Pinamunuan nina Monchito Callanta at Francesca Mae Gajo ang mga Most Outstanding Swimmer awar­dees sa Novice Division ng 131st Philippine Swim­ming League (PSL) National Series kahapon sa Diliman Preparatory School swimming pool sa Quezon City.

Namayagpag ang Susan Papa Swim Academy standout na si Callanta sa boys’ 12-year category at nagreyna ang Camp Aguinaldo Streamline bet na si Gajo ang girls’ 6-under sa torneong nilahukan ng mahigit 600 tankers mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng bansa.

Nagwagi rin ng MOS awards sina Zach Matthew Ro­sario (boys’ 6-under), Von Jakob Cabalonga (boys’ 7-year), Elijah Peng (boys’ 8-year), Elaijah Isaac Re­galario (boys’ 9-year), Seth Demorre (boys’ 10-year), Antonio Rafael Ca­tangay (boys’ 11-year), Khent Rebanco (boys’ 13-year), Hikherrizy Moran  (boys’ 14-year) at Laurence Maranan (boys’ 15-over).

Nakasikwat din ng MOS sina Hannah Baguio (girls’ 7-year), Flordeliza Dob­le (girls’ 8-year), Saisha Es­pinosa (girls’ 9-year), Sa­rah Panahon (girls’ 10-year), Beatrice Co (girls’ 11-year), Ma. Bernadeth Ma­linay (girls’ 12-year), Rycca Zaynah Mamiloto (girls’ 13-year), Jenel Tor­dillo (girls’ 14-year) at Ma­rianne Merzan (girls’ 15-over).

“This is really a grassroots development program. They are starting as novice and if they stay in the program, you can see what they will become a year af­ter. We are starting this no­vice program to continue our search for new talents and potential swimmers. We mo­nitor them, from novice to become regular competitive swimmers,” wika ni PSL Pre­sident Susan Papa.

Ang iba pang meda­lists ay sina Behrouz Moham­mad Mojdeh, Jhanelle Yu­ang, Oona Alvarez, Sarah Pa­nahon, Kim Rebancos, Vi­zon Corpuz, Andrew James Callanta, Arianne Ber­naldez, Izhabella Balanza, Merry Queen Escarez, Trei Agoto, Ivan Ferrer, Sebastian Catotocan, Harry Sem­brano, Jian Manalo, Jo­se Calderon, Jacob Ca­ba­­nilla, Lian Crystal, Lucas Ca­botaje, Steve Tan, Gianna Cruz, Euna Alindayu, Alexandra Pedracio, Summer Tolentino, Mikhaela Bliss Dula, Louisse Balleste­ros at Princess Moelter.

“In time, we will be able to catch up of being behind in world of swimming and we are patient in moving for­ward inch by inch, day by day in PSL grassroots development program,” dagdag ni Papa.
