PAGCOR sisingilin ng PSC

Sa kakapusan ng pondo para sa pamamahala ng 23rd Southeast Asian Games sa 2005, plano ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) na habulin ang dating tinatanggap na biyaya mula sa Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

Ayon kay PSC Chairman Eric Buhain, nakakakuha pa rin sila ng 5% gross share mula sa PAGCOR, ngunit iba na ang computation simula noong 1996.

"That is the objective talaga para makatulong sa preparation natin sa 2005 SEAG," pa-hayag ni Buhain sa kanilang hakbang. "Talagang plano naming hilingin ulit for the Southeast Asian Games ‘yung original computation ng five percent."

Sa pangangasiwa sa 2005 Philippine SEA Games, ines-tima ng Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee (PHIL-SOC) sa ilalim ni chairman Roberto Pagdanganan, na aabot sa P1 bilyon ang budget na magagamit para dito.

Para sa pamamahala ng ‘05 SEAG, nagtabi na ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ng P30 milyon na maliit sa ineestimang gagastusin sa biennial meet.

Ayon kay Buhain, malaking karagdagan ang masisingil nilang bahagi mula sa PAGCOR.
