Joyce to Behold

my LIPS are SEALED… sometimes… - Maurice Arcache -
Makati City, a new moon ago, dahlings. Hot and sexy. Sweet and innocent. Movie star Joyce Jimenez launched her very own line of intimate garments labelled "Private Joyce" at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Inter-Con on the opening day of the hotel’s spectacular three-day wedding expo, "All About Weddings–The Complete Before, During and After Guide".

The different moods of the screen siren and modern women like her were reflected in the collection. Wispy t-backs, lacy bras, gartered stockings, girdles and sheer teddies in temptation black and virginal white contrasted with the cotton and more demure versions in pastel shades with sugar-n-all-things-nice trimmings.

"Private Joyce" is the brainchild of Shirley Kuan, the star’s manager, who said she wanted Joyce to have a business venture outside of showbiz. "In 2000 we came out with Private Joyce the magazine; in 2001 it was Private Joyce the calendar; and now for 2002 it’s Private Joyce intimate wear collection."

The two ladies are laughing all the way to the bank as stocks of Private Joyce were completely snapped up in two days at Sari Sari Store outlets, exclusive distributors. It took a year to plan the collection, with Sari Sari’s Marni Ocampo enthusiastically encouraging the ladies. Those who missed the show will have to wait a full year before Joyce walks down the ramp again to show off Private Joyce’s 2003 line.
