Honoring Anna Periquet

MANILA, Philippines - Former Rep. Anna Marie Periquet recently received two much-deserved honors for her contributions in youth entrepreneurship and education. Anna was recently appointed as the chairman of the Young Entrepreneurs Group Asia-Pacific during the 27th Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry Conference held in Kathmandu, Nepal. The Department of Education also recognized her for authoring  Republic Act 8525 or the Adopt-a-School Act of 1998, which encourages the private sector to help schools to provide access to education to the underprivileged.
