MANILA, Philippines - Ateneo Ruby jubilarians belonging to classes HS71, GS67 and Coll75, collectively called King of the Blues (KOB), brought several civic projects under their wings in the Ateneo tradition of being men and women for others. This included providing food, clothing and medicine for the Bethany Orphanage in Guiguinto, Bulacan, led by Tony Tengco; donating rubber shoes for the hundreds of inmates in the National Penitentiary through the synergy of the Thursday Group of Merville Subdivision represented by Bolo and Joanna Misa, Sports Resources, Inc. president Rod Claudio, Toby Sports president Jojo Claudio, KOB USA, managed by Louie Daza and KOB Singapore, led by Ceski Balota; organizing medical missions to Masbate, headed by Dr. Alvin Santos and Boy Favis; and visiting former teachers and mentors, organized by Dr. Toby Dayrit.
The year-long KOB Ruby Anniversary outreach program is chaired by Noel Canivel with Benjie Guevara as vice-chairman.
