One fine celebration for Dette

The charming Dette Aquino Tan recently marked another year with a fabulous birthday dinner party at the Dusit Thani Hotel. The happy affair was held at the hotel’s luxurious Tosca restaurant, which was reserved exclusively for the celebration. Amidst the beautifully-decorated venue filled with captivating candle and floral arrangements, Dette’s loving family and dear friends, with some even flying in from Madrid and the United States, came in to personally express their greetings and wish her more fruitful years ahead. All the guests were in high spirits as they were treated to appetizing cocktails of premium Italian hams and cheeses paired with smooth, fine wines. This was followed by an elegant sit-down dinner of salad, poached fish in white wine sauce and juicy tenderloin steak, which sweetly ended with a coffee panna cotta dessert. 

What a truly special celebration for such a fine and lovable woman! Happy birthday, Dette, all the best!

Mixing business with Italian pleasure

To further strengthen ties and camaraderie among everyone, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines recently gathered its members for an important lunch meeting at Caruso, the authentic Italian restaurant in Makati led by brilliant Caruso co-owner Dario Gardini. The group had a great time discussing important matters while enjoying the restaurant’s superb authentic Italian specialties, exquisite ambiance and impeccable service.

Fantastic double celebrations

It was a truly memorable day for dynamic businessman realtor Tyrone Kalaw as he recently celebrated his birthday at the ultra chic family owned restaurant, Bistro Miyake, along Annapolis street in Greenhills. His ever supportive wife Jo, together with loving children Tyke, Kirk, Evana and Ria, meticulously organized the party attended by family, close friends and special guests. To the delight of everyone, the siblings beautifully turned the cozy dining area into a swanky party place abuzz with music and friendly banter. The fabulous occasion had guests enjoying the sumptuous array of Japanese cuisines and dancing to the slew of ‘60s and ‘70s Beatles hits rendered by an excellent rock & roll band. Passionate gourmet and restaurateur Tyke couldn’t be happier as the special evening also coincided with Bistro Miyake’s first anniversary celebration. Revelers got the chance to discover this superb restaurant-cum-bar, which boasts of an inviting al fresco area, tasteful Zen-inspired interiors and a wide, delectable selection of Japanese cuisines.
