MANILA, Philippines — Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua on Wednesday reiterated that Beijing is committed to fighting corruption in the Philippines.

Jianhua, who was present during the 1st Anniversary of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission, said he told President Rodrigo Duterte about China’s commitment to the Philippine government’s crackdown on corruption.

He said Beijing is also slated to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Philippines on anti-corruption operations, which is a common concern for the two countries. He said they would discuss the working mechanism for the mission as well as the best practices to combat corruption.
