Coach Bo assures UP Fighting Maroons: 'We will be better'

MANILA, Philippines — It took the University of the Philippines Men’s Basketball Team 32 years to score a ticket to the UAAP championship match. But after losing their championship dream to Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles, Coach Bo Perasol was there to remind them to keep their chin up.

“We will be better,” Perasol told his team amid deafening cheers from the Araneta Coliseum filled with more than 23,000 spectators.

“You have to be proud for them. You have to make it and show it in your faces,” he added.

The UAAP Season 81 Men’s Basketball competition ended last night with Ateneo scoring 99 points over UP's 81 points, but fans are already hyped for the Fighting Maroons next season with transferees Kobe Paras and Ricci Rivero.
