The nation on Sunday celebrates its 118th Independence Day with the theme “Kalayaan 2016: Pagkakaisa, Pag-aambagan, Pagsulong.”
With less than 20 days left in his term as president, Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III is set to lead the flag-raising and wreath-laying rites at the Rizal Monument in Manila before the traditional vin d’ honneur for the diplomatic corps at Malacañan Palace.
