MANILA, Philippines — Liberal Party standard-bearer Manuel "Mar" Roxas II on Monday announced Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo is his running mate.

Roxas recalled how the administration called for Robredo to join the "Daang Matuwid" governance after her wife, former Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo passed away. He also said that making a decision was hard for Robredo as she was considering her daughters' welfare but she still chose to sacrifice.

Robredo then fully accepted the challenge, still recognizing her late husband.

— Video by Efigenio Toledo IV
