DepEd improve its efficiency

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Education (DepEd), through its Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development–Organization Effectiveness Division (BHROD-OED), has formally launched their Quality Management System (QMS) certifiable to ISO 9001:2015 standards as it continues efforts to improve the efficiency of the DepEd bureaucracy.

DepEd Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones said that the establishment of the QMS was an achievement for the DepEd’s human resource, or the more than half a million public school teachers and school officials as well as non-teaching workforce.

The establishment of QMS in DepEd is expected to enhance people capacity, internal systems, and processes resulting in efficient and effective delivery of basic education services.

It shall cover DepEd’s core processes, management, and support processes, and shall be a coordinated and shared responsibility across all governance levels.
