DLSU, Mapua grads top chemical eng'g board exam

MANILA, Philippines  - Two graduates from the De La Salle University (DLSU) and the Mapua Institute of Technology topped the Chemical Engineer Licensure Examination given in April 2014, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Tuesday.

Justin Donn Sales Mulingtapang of DLSU and Von Joby Manaloto Romero of Mapua led 242 passers with an 81.8-percent rating. A total of 438 took the exam.

They were followed by Leslie Villamor Adolfo of the University of San Carlos (81.5 percent), Rick Allan Rabara Chua of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (81.3 percent), John Philip Domondon Garcia of Mapua (81.3 percent), Charmaine Santos Pinlac of Mapua (81.3 percent)and Kevin Ignatius Poloyapoy Tan Kim Kiat (DLSU).

PRC said the registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be on April 28 and 29, 2014. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), one piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), two sets of metered documentary stamps and one short brown envelope with name and profession; and pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2014-2017.
