TF editorial praised
Your editorial about the Philippines failure to stem the flow of deadly drugs into the country is most important. As your opinion writer Atty. Jimenez writes this is a major problem that must be addressed now. As a New Yorker who witnessed the 1960s heroin epidemic and the crack insanity of the 1980s that killed so many young people I implore you to continue putting pressure on politicians, police, teachers, and clergy. Drugs can quickly devour a city if unchecked. Normally sane honest people become purveyors of death. Corruption will be found at every level of government. Whether by omission or commission people young and old, rich and poor will risk all for money. The big fish escapes into deep waters leaving the little guys to serve jail time or being dispatched by enemies.
Not all the drug kingpins will fall but by following the money trail gathering Intel and taking no quarter with drug dealers big and small can the fight be won.

Correcting misspelled names
Sir:
Greetings!
I read with interest the column "CEBUpedia" of Atty. Clarence Paul Oaminal lengthily citing the life of our late father Vicente or in short "Inting" as he is fondly called by his contemporaries and friends as well.
However, being the eldest son and family adviser, I would humbly request that necessary corrections be made as regards the proper names of some of our members, to wit:
The middle name of our late father should be VILLACIN not VILLARIN; thus, to read in full VICENTE VILLACIN PACIFICO. Likewise, the name Vincentino should read VINCENTIUS and Adolfo to read ADELFO, respectively.
Further, I would like to thank Atty. Oaminal for "taking up the cudgels" in remembering our beloved Papa "Inting," somehow refreshing the memories of the people endeared to him in one way or another.
I ardently hope that this letter would find a space in your prestigious publication, already proven to have a wide readership in the province of Cebu and elsewhere in the Visayas and Mindanao regions.
Once again, thank you very much. More power.
Respectfully yours,
