Chickens over wife anytime

TYPHOON. In Bulacan, a family man there who raises fighting cocks for a living evacuated his birds to safer grounds before he took his wife to Manila to escape from Typhoon Lando.

WIFE. When asked by a relative why he had prioritized his chickens over his wife, he said, "They are worth millions of pesos, I can't afford to lose them, not today."

RARA AVIS. The wife nodded in agreement, saying in jest, "The chickens are extremely rare. I am not."
