BUILDINGS. Big and multi-storied buildings are rising at will in Mactan Island. Did you know that most, if not all, the owners of the lots on which these buildings stand have either left the island or continue living in huts under the shadow of these million peso buildings on the land they once owned?

BARGAIN SALE. An Ear informer whose parents once owned several pieces of rocky land in Mactan said his parents sold their land at a bargain price of P2.00 per square meter. He later learned that the buyers were mostly 'bright' business prospectors from Manila.
