Ice skating

CREDIT.  In our rejoicing over the brilliant performance of Michael Christian Martinez in the figure skating event in the Winter Olympics, James Bloom, an American resident in Metro Manila, said "we have forgotten to give due credit to Mr. Henry Sy of the SM Megamall."

ICE SKATING. Mr. Bloom said it was the venerable Mr. Sy who introduced ice skating in the Philippines through some of the SM malls where he put up ice skating rinks. "Let not Pinoys forget Mr. Sy who planted the seed from which grew a boy named Michael," Mr. Bloom said.
