Keep calm and… Go hysterical.

POINTILLISMS - Mike Acebedo Lopez - The Freeman

Because with all that's happening, how can we keep calm for long? To stay unaffected, apathetic, stoic might find yourself in the same league as our unfeeling, uncaring, beyond normal, probably-afflicted-with-something-between-his-ears President of the Republic. I don't know with you but I'd rather die than belong in the same confederacy as this world-class inutile who pretends to be relevant.

While for children ready for Christmas, "visions of sugarplums danced in their heads," I am still haunted by that awful, awful footage of Aquino desperately trying to answer CNN's Amanpour, resulting in epic fail. Off-tangent, pretentious, pathetic. And that stupid yellow ribbon pin he always wears on his lapel (which he wore again in the same interview) is an atrocious insult against every Filipino who loves this country and swears allegiance to her flag.

He is probably the only Philippine head of state who's refused to wear a flag pin (even youth leaders sent to delegations overseas proudly wear a Philippine flag pin). Iconic stateside edifices like the Empire State Building and Houston's city hall sported colors of our flag, to show solidarity with our country and people, but our own president has substituted it with his stupid pin, proof that he is not president of all Filipinos but of the few (and getting fewer) yellow zombies.

Or perhaps it is a reminder of his sly objective: that yellow loop is a noose around our necks, around the necks of all who aren't yellow - and the goal is to color this entire country jaundice, by hook or by crook. By crook, if the last few weeks are an indication. And if last Christmas were a basis too, when they unlawfully tried to ease out Gwen Garcia, another duly elected non-yellow local official.

Roman philosopher and politician Marcus Tullius Cicero might as well have been a prophet, describing in great detail over two millennia ago the presidential predicament we have in our midst:

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear."

But not only do we have a traitor to the cause that catapulted his unqualified, mediocre self to the presidency, it is more precisely, an unholy trinity, a triple whammy of sorts, of the traitor, fool, and ambitious. Like instant coffee, three-in-one (and instant president, too). But unlike coffee that keeps us wide awake, it's an evil trinity, a demonic entity that's cast its spell on a nation and put it to sleep, a deep slumber that's culminated in this nightmare of nightmares.

While still reeling from their embarrassing interviews on CNN, another set of videos (the hidden camera sort) has surfaced.

But what is more flabbergasting than the words of Mar Roxas in the video is the line of reasoning of the ultra Pro PNoys (Once again, from Cicero, "He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.").

"It's not complete, it's spliced." WTF?! You can give them the entire video and they still won't be satisfied. Heck, you can give them a documentary of Mar Roxas's life, from conception to the present, and that still won't suffice. For the completely blind, there will never be light.

There is a popular actress-host on Twitter, someone I know personally and respect, who even goes to the extent of blaming the Romualdez camp for spreading the video. She is normally smart and sensible, but it is unfortunate that because of blind support for this yellow monster, she is caught mouthing a line of thinking that is bereft of logic, one that has absolutely no sense of cause and effect.

It's not who spread the video (the long one was uploaded by Cito Beltran, not Alfred Romualdez, and Cito admitted this in his column early this week, providing a compelling account on why he did), it's what's in the video! For the nth time, it's what's in the video!

How can anyone even miss that? Sobra. Why release it now? If not now, when? An honest to goodness postmortem, assessment, evaluation is in order. Yet these yellows say the Romualdezes are playing the blame game. Not at all surprising that when PNoy played the blame game he so loves the day after Yolanda, the first one to ever say "hey, don't look at me, it's their fault," they were in full support of his forked tongue spewing his staple hypocrisy and holier-than-thou rhetoric. So only PNoy can point fingers and blame and accuse and can get away with it? Ludicrous.

Also, those saying the first video was spliced and malicious should also take the time out to watch the long, unedited video uploaded by Cito Beltran. And there you shall see that it basically points to the same thing: Mar Roxas, representing PNoy, was playing dirty, vindictive politics at the worst possible time, an insult to the countless dead and to the detriment of the lives of survivors whose continued survival was hinged on quick government response. EVIL.

The short video was like a trailer to a movie, nothing malicious there. If you want to expose, you first upload snippets to the public, a short enough video that shows the point of your exposé, that drives the message across, not too long for people to lose interest while the video buffers and loads. And you also upload the complete video should the public want to see everything. And that is what happened. Again, nothing wrong there, watch both videos and you will see the same issues brought to light - straight from the horse's mouth, glaring proof that Alfred Romualdez was telling the truth in the congressional inquiry (Alfred's quote turned out to be verbatim; Mar Roxas, reading his statement from a piece of paper, didn't match his words on the video; Yikes, pants on fire). If you still don't see it, get it, then that must be a symptom of a deadly virus: you could be a "Noytard!"

They say "Noytard" isn't politically-correct? Perhaps. But what else do we call them who blindly support and defend and attack in the name of what is not only politically-wrong but, more so, morally-depraved?
