Long queue of lotto bettors

THE EAR - The Freeman

LOTTO BETTORS. There was a long queue of lotto bettors in one lotto outlet in Labangon last Friday when the grand jackpot had hit more than P100 million. One of those in the long line of hopefuls was a middle aged woman who said she was betting on 10 different combinations.

NOT HERS. The woman was the labandera of a government official. “Dili ako'y gapusta oy, gisugo ra ko sa akong agawon,” she said. Her “agawon” (or boss or employer), she said, was ashamed to buy the number combinations himself because he is a government official. The Ear informer did not press her to name her “agawon” and the government office he works for.
