Arrogant beggars

MORE BEGGARS. With Christmas fast approaching, the number of beggars in the city have also increased. A sari-sari store owner said, “Nagkadaghan na sila kay hapit na man Pasko. Unya hangtod na ni sila sa Sinulog.”

DEMAND. A housewife complained that she encountered many arrogant beggars who demand for things. She said they would bang on the gate and call out to the owners repeatedly. Worse, she said these beggars would not accept food and demand for money or clothes. “Daghan kaayo nila demanding kaayo’g tingog. Mosampit mora’g mga kolektor. Unya tagaan nimo’g pagkaon, ingnon pa ka’g ‘kuwarta lang o sinina.’ Pagka arogante!”
