Letter to the editor - Rey Torres did not help PDEA operatives

I would like to set the records straight. Mr. Rey Torres did not help PDEA operatives in the arrest of the two drug peddlers from Ozamis City. Specifically, Mr. Torres did not give any vital information to the agency.

This is contrary to the news item that was published (Wednesday, November 19). During the tactical interrogation conducted, this office found out that it was Rey Torres' own initiative to order shabu from the above-cited arrested persons and directed them through his cellphone to bring the illegal drugs to Cebu City. Accordingly, the proceeds of the sale will be used by Mr. Torres to pay his counsel who is handling his robbery case.
