MANILA, Philippines — Four people were arrested for alleged possession of firearms and ammunition in Talipao, Sulu on Friday.
Authorities said they seized three rifles, a grenade launcher, ammunition, explosives and communication devices from Jesfar Jarah, Abdel Sumaidi, Ahamad Hamsarani and Kiram Sahiron.
The arrest was implemented after residents complained about the presence of armed men in Barangay Bagsak, according to Col. Roden Orbon, spokesman for the Western Mindanao Command.
The suspects were held at the detention facility of the Talipao police.
