MANILA, Philippines — Law enforcement agencies have confiscated illegal drugs valued at P60.13 billion under the administration of President Marcos, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency reported yesterday.

The PDEA said 15,219.25 kilos of shabu, cocaine and marijuana, as well as 136,916 pieces of Ecstasy party drugs were seized since Marcos became president in July 2022.

On Thursday, 30 kilos of shabu worth P204 million were seized in a sting operation in Norzagaray, Bulacan.

Three shabu dealers were arrested in the operation which occurred in a hotel in Barangay Minuyan.

Up to 145,064 people, including 9,283 high-value suspects in the illegal drug trade, were arrested in 107,568 anti-narcotics operations.

The PDEA and other law enforcement agencies dismantled 1,439 drug dens and four clandestine laboratories.

In the government’s campaign to rid communities of illegal drugs, a total of 29,408 barangays have been declared drug-cleared.
