Radio blocktimer’s house strafed in Negros Occidental
BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – Radio blocktimer Rey Siason experienced another “harassment” after his house in Talisay City, Negros Occidental was strafed by two unidentified men on Easter Sunday.
Siason, a blocktimer of radios dyKB and dyRL, was unhurt but shaken after the men reportedly shot at his sport utility vehicle, motorcycle and the gate of his house.
Police investigators recovered 16 empty shells and eight deformed slugs of a .45-caliber pistol.
Siason, former Negros Press Club president, recalled that his house was also strafed on Sept. 19, 2019.
Lt. Roberto Arrazola Jr., Talisay police deputy chief, said the incident could be job-related.
Siason said he would wait for the result of police investigation before taking legal action against two people who might have something to do with the case. He tackles issues against politicians in Bacolod, Talisay and Silay cities in Negros Occidental.
