Student caught using weed in school

MANILA, Philippines — A student was arrested after he was caught using marijuana in a school in Quezon City on Monday.

The suspect, 18, was apprehended by a security guard and teachers at the Sauyo High School in Barangay Sauyo at around 7:30 p.m.

Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director, said school officials received word of an ongoing pot session in the campus.

The student was spotted at the fire exit of one of the buildings while in possession of a glass pipe tube that was later found to contain marijuana residue.

The student also reportedly carried 10 grams of marijuana placed in four plastic sachets worth P1,200.

The student was turned over to the QCPD Station 3, where he is being held on drug charges.
