Family of 5 dies in Pangasinan fire
Lingayen, Philippines — Five members of a family died in a fire that destroyed their house in Pozorrubio, Pangasinan shortly after midnight yesterday.
The fatalities were identified as Mark Villanueva, 34; his wife Dixie, 36, and their three children aged six, two and one year.
Five other occupants of the house survived the blaze, according to Fire Officer 3 Christian Verosil of the Pozorrubio fire bureau.
Verosil said the fire, which started at around 12:10 a.m., destroyed two other houses.
The blaze was declared under control at around 2:58 a.m.
Probers have yet to determine the cause of the fire, which they said destroyed some P9 million worth of property.
