Businessman slain in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — Unidentified motorcycle-riding men shot dead a businessman along Araneta highway in Barangay Tangub in this city on Wednesday.

Jerry Gasendo, 53, was declared dead on arrival at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

Gasendo died from a gunshot to the head, according to a police report.

Initial investigation showed the victim was on his scooter when he was shot.
