CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — The police chief of Lian, Batangas died when his car was hit by a cargo truck loaded with salt in Barangay Tulo in Taal, Batangas at past midnight yesterday.
Maj. Amiel Bernardo Sanhi Jr., who was driving home his Isuzu Mux when the accident occurred, died on the way to the Batangas Provincial Hospital in Lemery.
S/Sgt. Felix Cantero of the Taal police said the truck driver, Salvador Segfred, 29, surrendered after the incident.
