Quezon City’s most wanted fugitive falls

MANILA, Philippines — The No. 1 most wanted fugitive in Quezon City was caught on Monday afternoon.

Nelson Piaje, 48, was arrested at his residence in Barangay Tatalon at around 2:30 p.m., according to Quezon City Police District director Brig. Gen. Remus Medina.

Medina said police officers served a warrant of arrest against Piaje for rape issued by Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 91 Judge Kathleen Rosario dela Cruz-Espinosa, who did not grant bail.

Medina did not give details on the case Piaje is facing. The suspect will be presented in court to face trial.
