Woman, 2 kids found dead in Romblon home

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A woman and her two sons were found dead in their house in San Jose, Romblon at past midnight yesterday.

Col. Reynold Rosero, Romblon police director, said the bodies of Wielyn Mendoza, 29; TJ, 9, and JB, 7, which bore stab wounds, were discovered by their relatives in Sitio Upper Hinulugan in Barangay Poblacion.

Rosero said Mendoza’s brother Wilbert and Charlie Seraspi reported the incident to the police at around 9 a.m. yesterday.

The victims reportedly attended a birthday party at the house of their neighbor on Tuesday night.

Wilbert told police that he found the bodies when he saw the door of the house of the victims was open when he checked why no one was answering when he called them.

Officer on case S/Sgt. Felix Millares said they have two persons of interest in the killing.
