Family of 4 dies in Catanduanes fire

MANILA, Philippines — Four members of a family died in a fire which destroyed their house in Barangay Concepcion in Virac, Catanduanes yesterday.

The Bicol police identified the fatalities as Jzar Estacio, 25; his partner Rosemarie Buentiempo, 28, and their two sons aged seven and three.

A relative of the fatalities, Benzon Buentipo, 37, was injured.

Police said the fire, which broke out at around 4 a.m., was put out after 15 minutes.

Probers are looking at faulty electrical wiring as the cause of the fire.
