CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A drug suspect said to be behind the killing of three family members in a stabbing incident in Kawit, Cavite on Sunday night was arrested yesterday.
Brig. Gen. Eliseo Cruz, Calabarzon police director, said Jeraldson Villamater, 35, was apprehended at his hideout in Barangay Conbalay.
Cruz said the suspect faces three counts of murder and a frustrated murder charge.
A 13-inch knife allegedly used by the suspect was recovered in a canal in Barangay Samala Marquez.
Ronaldo Hingada, 71; his wife Angelita, 63, and their son Roan, 45, whose bodies bore stab wounds were declared dead on arrival at the Binakayan Hospital.
Rolito Hingada, 47, was wounded in the attack.
