No new COVID-19 cases in 21 Malabon, Navotas barangays

MANILA, Philippines — Eleven barangays in Malabon and 10 in Navotas did not record any new COVID-19 cases as of Friday.

The following barangays in Malabon did not have any active case: Acacia, Flores, Hulong Duhat, Ibaba, Muzon, Panghulo, San Agustin, Santulan, Tañong, Tinajeros and Tugatog.

Barangays Bagumbayan North, Bagumbayan South, Bangculasi, Navotas East, Navotas West, San Rafael Village, San Roque, Sipac-Almacen, Tangos South and Tanza 1 in Navotas have no active COVID-19 case as well.

Last Friday, the Malabon City government logged only 20 active COVID-19 cases, while there were nine active cases in Navotas City.

Both cities noted a steady drop in the number of active cases from 1,115 cases in Malabon and 1,888 in Navotas last Sept. 9.

Cases in Pasig drop by 98%

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Pasig has dropped by at least 98 percent.

Data from the city public information office released yesterday showed there are 42 active cases in Pasig, which is lower by 98.28 percent compared to when infections peaked at 2,451 cases last Sept. 15.

None of Pasig’s 30 barangays have double-digit numbers in terms of active cases.

The barangays with the most number of COVID-19 patients are Caniogan with six; Dela Paz, five, and Bambang, four.
