4 slain in North Cotabato gun attacks

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Four persons were killed in separate shooting incidents in Aleosan, North Cotabato over the weekend.

The first attack occurred in Barangay Dualing and resulted in the death of three persons, one of them identified as Darwin Sabes, according to Aleosan town police chief Capt. Arvin John Cambang.

The victims were in a car when they were pulled over by the suspects.

An hour later, three men posing as passengers shot dead bus conductor Norodin Tigkanan of the Mindanao Star Bus in Barangay Pagangan.

After the killing, the gunmen ordered the bus driver to pull over at a secluded stretch of the Cotabato-Davao Highway, where they got off and escaped on foot.

Before fleeing, the suspects took the money that the victim collected from the passengers.
