PNR train mangles 3 teens

MANILA, Philippines — Three teenagers died after being run over by a Philippine National Railways (PNR) train in Sta. Mesa, Manila on Sunday night.

The fatalities, one aged 16 and two aged 17, died at the scene after they were hit by the train along Anonas street northbound of the PNR railway.

Initial investigation showed that the victims were walking home along the railway when they were run over, according to the Manila Police District.

Probers said the teenagers failed to hear the approaching train and were hit, leaving their bodies mangled.

Two drivers of the PNR were taken into police custody for investigation.
