7 Cebu town villages on lockdown
CEBU, Philippines — Seven barangays in Samboan town in Cebu will be locked down for one week starting today amid a surge in COVID-19 cases.
Mayor Emerito Calderon Jr. issued an executive order (EO) imposing the lockdown in Barangays Suba, Poblacion, Bonbon, Tangbo, Dalahikan, Colase and Bato.
Calderon said a stay-at-home order and travel restrictions would be implemented, citing the rising number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in the past two weeks.
Under the EO, all business establishments except pharmacies, remittance centers, money transfers and convenience stores will be closed.
