31 rescued as boat capsizes off Quezon

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Thirty-one passengers and crewmembers were rescued when a motorboat capsized in the waters of Polillo island in Quezon on Wednesday.

The MB Saint Paul was hit by strong waves off the coast of Barangay Macnet at around 1:30 p.m.

Personnel of the Patnanungan police and Philippine Coast Guard conducted search and rescue operations when they received a distress call.

No one was reported hurt among the passengers and crew.
