BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — A 16-year-old boy was declared dead on arrival in a hospital while 12 others, including five other minors, were injured when a jeepney plunged into a ravine along the Tanudan-Banaue road in Tanudan, Kalinga on Monday.
The fatality was identified as Jandy Gallamoy.
Police said the jeepney was heading toward Barangay Pangol when the driver lost control of the wheel while traversing a hilly portion of the road in Barangay Dupligan at around 3 p.m.
An investigation is ongoing.
